Food Industry Careers students will learn
-Food Safety and Sanitation
-Basic Food Service Preparation Skills
-Customer Service skills including serving, table setting and busing.
-Quantity baking preparation
Students participate in real world food service experiences:
-Bake Sales
-Pizza Sales
-Student-run restaurant and catering events
-Creative Arts – Gingerbread Gallery
Through FCCLA, students focus on leadership development andpersonal growth and development.
*** A referral from a special education case manager is requiredto enroll in this program.
Instructor Cherry Cramer has a Bachelor of Arts degree fromConcordia College, Moorhead, MN in Home Economics Education and a Master’sDegree in Special Education from University of Saint Thomas, Minneapolis,MN. Prior experience includes prep cook, cook, kitchen manager, waitress,and catering server. Cherry is a Certified Family and Consumer Sciences (C.F.C.S.) professional, a certified ServSafe instructor and MinnesotaFood Handler. When she isn’t cooking or teaching, Cherry loves to sing and is achoir director.
