2024-2025 School Nutrition Information

Intermediate School District 917 students are provided with quality, nutritious breakfast and lunch meal options at all sites.

 

Due to the unique nature of our district, we provide specific Food Service information for each program on our Programs page of the website.

 

On 3/17/23, Governor Walz signed the MN Free School Meals bill into law.  The MN Free School Meals Program ensures that all students can have one breakfast and one lunch at no cost each school day.  The Free School Meals Program began on 7/1/23.

 

Because information from Applications for Educational Benefits are still used to determine how much funding a school receives for educational programs and supports, as well as determine eligibility for families to receive WIC benefits, transit assistance, reduced price internet programs, and programs for children, we ask all families to complete the 2024-2025 Application for Educational Benefits (see below).

S-EBT Program
 
The S-EBT program will provide $40/month per child ($120 total) during the summer months to purchase food with funds placed on EBT cards for students who qualify for free/reduced price meals. 
 
Students must be approved either by Direct Certification (SNAP, Medicaid, Homeless, Foster) or via application approved for free or reduced.
